Our Athens sightseeing tour provides you with the opportunity to admire the wonderful sites of Athens City, which make it one of the most fascinating cities in the world. Our experienced guides take you on a tour of Athens City center, visiting Syntagma Square (Constitution Square), the Parliament Building, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the National Library.

Heading down Herod Atticus Street, we will pass by the celebrated Evzones, dressed in their traditional uniforms, and the Presidential Palace. Making our way to the famous Acropolis, you can see Hadrian’s Arch, admire the Temple of Zeus, otherwise known as the Olympeion Site, and visit the Panathenaic Stadium, the marble stadium where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896.

While on the Acropolis Hill, we will visit the new Athens Acropolis Museum and the ancient archaeological masterpieces: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and the most majestic monument of antiquity, the Parthenon.

Descending down Areopagitou pedestrian passing from Herodion and Dionysus Theater you will come across the new Acropolis museum the most important archaeological museum in Athens. For the first time ever you will witness all surviving treasures of the Acropolis together in one place. The Acropolis museum main attractions such as votives, artifacts of every day life, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.  Another major exhibit is the remains of the ancient Athenian city that revealed by archaeological excavations on the site of the museum.

Note: As the Acropolis Museum is closed on Mondays the programme ends with the visit to the Parthenon.

For an evening packed with fun, we begin our night time tour of Athens with a short ride to Piraeus Port, driving by the private yachts that are moored at Zeas Marina and stopping a short while at the stylish area of Mikrolimano to sample Greek appetizers that are accompanied by a glass of ouzo, the traditional anise-flavoured alcoholic beverage of Greece. We then return to the center of Athens, to the charming old quarters of Plaka, for a delicious meal at a typical Greek taverna, entertained with bouzouki music and folk dancing.

To reach our destination of Delphi, the tour takes us through the verdant plain of Viotia, and the historical town of Thebes, which according to mythology was connected to King Oedipus, as well as the attractive towns of Levadia and Arachova, which are famous for their running waters and hand-made rugs, respectively. We arrive in ancient Delphi, known as the center of the ancient world and the ‘Navel’ of the Earth. The landscape of the area is magnificent, with the lush slopes of Mt. Parnassus and the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the Athenians Treasury, the Temple of Apollo and the wonderful Archaeological Museum of Delphi, where ancient masterpieces, including the bronze statue of the Charioteer and the marble statue of the athlete Agias, are displayed. After lunch in the contemporary town of Delphi, we return to Athens.

We begin our tour, travelling along the coastal road that overlooks the Saronic Gulf, stopping for a short time at the Corinth Canal (Isthmos), which connects the Aegean and the Ionian Seas. We continue to the ancient town of Mycenae, the golden city that ancient poets and playwrights have written about. There we will visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Royal Tombs, and more. Passing through the verdant plains of Argolis, we will reach Nafplion, one of the most picturesque towns in Greece, famous for the dramatic Palamidi Fortress.

After lunch, we depart for Ancient Epidaurus to visit the Epidaurus Theater, which was built in the 4th century BC and is well-known for its excellent acoustics. From there, we return to Athens, taking the national highway that connects Epidaurus and Corinth.
